Bloggers Basic Tools (I) - Niche

Starting a blog may seem hard work, especially if it's your first blog, but with the right guidance, some "don't try this at home" and some "do try this at home",  you will quickly realize that you made it. Let's see if we can make an easier start for you.

You can consider that your blog is your pet, you will need to feed it or to make its toilet just like for any other pet. Your blog will eat texts and sometimes pictures. You can call your friends to come over and socialize with it. In order to have your new born blog to grow big and strong you will need to administrate it vitamins and the best vitamins for a blog are back links. Unlike many other pets, you can let your blog grow bigger and bigger and not having your mother complain about that she cannot have a shower because your alligator is having lunch in her bathtub. You can teach your blog to do tricks and attract new friends and soon enough there will be one thousand people that you can call your visitors. As your pet, your blog represents you, it has a part of your personality, like a mirror of your thoughts and skills.

Your blog can have different purposes, depending on your preferences. You can have a personal blog,a place to express your feelings and your opinions. You can share your day by day experiences, you can publish pictures from your trips or any personal things you want to make public.

You may choose as well to make a blog to earn money. Of course, you can earn with your personal blog too, but a real money maker blog is more than a personal one.

First you will need a niche for your blog. A niche represents what are you going to write and who will you write for. If you want to make money, creating a very well defined niche blog is a very important key in getting what you are looking for. Think about an area you would like to write about, or a subject you know a lot about and that's it! You found your niche!

1. The niche blog is indexed by Google much easier. If you write about one subject, all your posts will contain similar keywords, so the Page rank has big chances to grow faster.
2. Niche blogs are more credible.
3. Niche blogs make more money. And this is because if someone gets on your blog, he/she arrives there mostly because he/she is really interested in what you wrote and this gives more chances for him/her to become your reader and why not, your buyer.

When choosing the niche, a smart thing to do is to know your competition. Google makes this all easier. You just have to go at Google Adwords page and to use Adwords key tool.

Having your blog indexed by Google makes it to be alive and visible. Everything about Search Engine Optimization (SEO) starts when your pages are indexed, in time, your blog will receive traffic This guide will give you now 10 tips to let your blog breathe Google's air in one hour or less.

1. Write at least 3 posts. To index you, Google sends the crawler to check your site. And it is important for it to have something to check to.

8. Join a forum and insert your blog URL in your user signature. Comment some subjects so people can see you.


9. Find a friend who has a blog and ask him nicely to put your link in his blog.

After doing all this, insert your blog URL on Google search and see if you are indexed. You can check with Google Webmasters Tools also.
